a return (NYC part 1)

I've been meaning return to blogging and after much internal convincing and mustering up the courage and will to get back to updating people about my life, so here I am. I'm not sure how to go about summarizing anything after more than two years of absence. It feels like ages and ages since my 365 project on flickr ended, when people on the internet knew exactly what was happening in my life on a daily basis through my photographs. I can't go as far as saying that I particularly miss that, but there was something about organized documentation that can't be replaced in any other way.

Since 2012, there have been two major life changes: 1) I graduated and 2) I moved to New York City. Yes, I somehow managed to survive high school and along the way started my own photography business, made an incredible group of supportive friends, became a coxswain and coxed the Head of the Charles Regatta, went to Europe for the first time, discovered my interests and "found my voice" you could say, and other usual high school things.

I got into my top choice school, Barnard College of Columbia University, and moved on campus to Morningside Heights in Manhattan. It's been a whirlwind ever since then-- here are some photos of my life in the city (part one!!).
