Barnard College's campus in the spring is known for the minor celebrity that resides on it permanently: the magnolia tree. I was lucky enough to watch it bloom every time I walked by it on the way to class, knowing that spring wasn't just an elusive dream to come after a brutal NYC winter. The magnolia tree's quintessential pink blossoms and expansive branches were so picturesque, it was rare not to find someone taking a photo of it (or a selfie of course).
I dragged my lovely friend Justine out with me to take photos on a beautiful spring day near the end of April- one of the first weekends you could find students sprawled on the lawn with their books, celebrating the final coming of spring.
Now that I'm finally on summer break, expect more of these blog posts! I have plenty to catch up on, but I'm also excited to blog about my summer adventures (including a 10 day trip to Italy AH). Until next time!
